French Doors – Classic in a Modern Edition

French doors (eng.) French doors) combine elegance and functionality. What is important, they work well in both modern and traditional arrangements. These doors are available in single or double leaf versions, and their opening can be directed outwards or inwards. Thanks to this they can be adapted to individual needs.

French doors – versatility and aesthetics

French doors do not have to be glazed. That's why They can also be available in a panel version, which increases their versatility. However, it is worth emphasizing, that their uniqueness results not only from aesthetics. The decisive element is also the use of advanced fittings, which affect their functionality. In our production, we use fittings for French doors in PVC and wooden joinery, and soon also aluminum.

Advanced fittings for French doors

Fittings dedicated to French doors differ from those used in traditional European doors. The most important solution is the use of a movable post in double-leaf doors. Thanks to this, by opening both leaves, we also open the post, which increases the passage light. This system is particularly practical in the case of balcony and terrace doors, where a wide passage is a great advantage.

In French doors, both halves of the door are operated by handles, which significantly distinguishes them from European solutions. There, the passive leaf is usually operated by angle-bolts.

In turn, operating doors using handles in French doors is characterized by a specific technique:
  • Pressing the handle: The handle returns to its original position, allowing the door to be opened.
  • Lifting the handle: This action not only locks the door leaf, but also activates an additional locking mechanism that increases the number of locking points along the entire length of the door leaf – both at the top and bottom. This ensures better sealing of the door and increases its resistance to weather conditions.
French doors will be a solid solution for years to come.

The unique mechanism of the fitting used in French doors increases the safety of use. Locking takes place not only on the sides of the leaf, but also on its upper and lower edges, which significantly improves the tightness and stability of the entire structure. When the handle is lifted, we also gain the possibility of locking the door using the lock insert, which undoubtedly increases its level of safety.

Thanks to the use of this solution, French doors become not only an aesthetic element of the home's equipment, but also a solid, safe choice that will work well both in doors leading to the terrace and in the main entrances to the building.

French doors are a combination of style and functionality. We can offer them in various types of joinery – PVC, wood, and soon also aluminum. Our advanced fittings guarantee not only an elegant appearance, but also safety, comfort of use and durability of the structure. If you are looking for doors that will give your home a unique character, while at the same time being a solid solution for years, French doors are an excellent choice.
