Bertrand Windows and Doors

People Bertrand - Meet Robert

In our regular series #LoodsBertrand we would like to introduce you to Robert. He has been with us for some time, but recently in a new role. And this is all thanks to internal recruitment. We invite you to a short conversation, because he is a really interesting guy, as well as an example of the fact that if someone wants, they can definitely develop in BB.

Let's start from the beginning. How did you find our company?
It really happened completely by accident. I found the ad and scheduled an interview. The interview itself was objective and rather relaxed. The manager at the time encouraged me to take the job and that's how I became an employee of Bertrand.

Do you remember your first day at work?
Of course. On my first day I ended up loading a container. You could say I was thrown into the deep end, because loading containers is not an easy thing – or so I thought at the time. However, the people I met then were quite efficient and willing to introduce me to the subject and I quickly caught the bug.

Why did you want to take part in internal recruitment and try your hand at a new role?
I decided to take part because of my technical sense and my desire for personal development. I am finishing my engineering studies soon and I wanted to start doing something in this direction. I like new experiences and working as a cost estimator is a new challenge for me. I am currently in the implementation phase. Just like in the warehouse, I have experienced people around me who guide me at every stage of learning.

What do you value about working at Bertrand?
I value working at BB the most because of the atmosphere. The people who create this place are well-coordinated and have a positive attitude to life. I deeply believe that as long as the company takes care of the employees who create this place, people will be willing and committed, and together we can achieve a lot.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to spend my free time outdoors, doing sports, such as tennis or yoga. I also like playing board games with friends. I try to use every longer or shorter vacation to travel, which educates me in some way and allows me to see different corners of the world.

Do you have any dreams related to traveling?
My dream is to travel to Vietnam and explore the culture of Buddhism, as well as visit the canyons in the United States and experience the magic of nature.

We wish you, dear Robert, that these dreams come true with all our hearts! As well as job satisfaction in your new role.
