Window with variable transparency
ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED GLASS WITH VARIABLE TRANSPARENCY
This glass is a laminated safety glass based on liquid crystal film technology. In the opaque state it has a natural, matte appearance. When the power supply is restored, the crystals are rearranged, as a result of which the glass becomes immediately transparent.
Specification
Characteristic features
- Electronically controlled glass – Changes its transparency depending on the current flow.
- Constant light transmittance – Regardless of the change in translucency, the glass transmits light at a high level.
- Applications – Can be used for interior partition walls, sliding doors, facades, windows, glass floors and rear projection screens.
Electronically controlled glass with variable transparency. Just one click turns an opaque glass wall into a transparent one.
This product is a laminated safety glass based on liquid crystal film technology. In the opaque state it has a natural, matt appearance. When the power supply is restored, the crystals are rearranged, as a result of which the glass becomes immediately transparent. Regardless of the change in transparency, it is characterized by constant, very high light transmittance. The standard construction is laminated glass 55.4 (12 mm), also available as a glass unit. It is possible to use tempered, colored, printed or curved glass.
APPLICATION:
• internal partition walls
• interactive advertising screens
• sliding door system
• glazing of facades and display windows
• single and double chamber glass units
• glass floors
• rear projection screens
Under the influence of electric voltage, the chaotically oriented liquid crystals are arranged, then the glass becomes transparent. Cutting off the current causes an immediate return to the opaque state, while transmitting light (it is a semi-transparent glass).
